Musician, Choreographer & Dressage Rider
Music is my passion and dressage is my inspiration. I started as a graduate of Fiorello H LaGuardia High School of Music and Art in New York. I earned my Bachelors and Masters (with Honors) from The Juilliard School in Manhattan, New York. My post graduate work was done at The Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, after which I joined the American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA) and made my professional musical stage debut.
As a professional musician, I have performed on several great world stages in the US and Europe with some of the greatest conductors, vocalists and instrumentalists known to music.
I am incredibly proud to compete my handsome Friesian gelding, Gunnar of Honor Bright, in both traditional and Western Dressage. He is my confidant and inspiration that allows me the benefit of working with other incredible riders and equines through musical freestyle choreography and design.
Physical competency is an important part of Dressage for our dancing equines. I had the pleasure of owning a Horse Holistics business as a licensed massage therapist for humans and horses. I was accepted into the 2002 Veterinary Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Symposium at University of Tennessee-Knoxville, specializing in equines.
My massage therapy background has proven invaluable as it enabled me to develop a keen eye and understanding of horse’s strengths and weaknesses. This has been key to developing a superior choreographic dressage floor plan for my client’s success.
Few designers have the musical educational, professional performance background, creativity and desire to push the art of freestyle to greater heights, and willingness to work long-distance. Extraordinarily well-crafted and emotionally-moving musical freestyles create magic for horses, judges and spectators.
